Loren // 30 // Alberta, CAN
Loren calls Edmonton, Alberta home despite living in many different places throughout his life. He comes from an awesome and supportive family including his parents and five brothers. Sometimes you might find him in Canada, but the last couple of years he’s spent more time in New Zealand and abroad. Years ago he was trained as a mechanical engineer and even though it’s something he still works with his passions lie elsewhere—mostly adventure, exploring, and seeking new places and experiences.
Loren had his worldview and perspective on God’s work in the world rocked by his Around the World in 80 Days DTS in 2009. Loren developed a greater appreciation for what the ‘body of Christ’ means to us as a church body–finding that we all have unique giftings and talents that come together to further the Kingdom.
As a dreamer, Loren has had many dreams, but he has endured some of them shattering. Through these disappointments he has come to find that there is a single greatest dream–that being, to know Jesus Christ as savior and having a real relationship with him. Loren’s hopes for this year’s SDTS is to see revelation come upon each of the students—to see them live freely, love God, love others, and to have a heart after God’s own.
This is one of his favorite verses:
“What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish that I may gain Christ” Phil 3:8 (NIV)

Stephen // 19 // Arizona, USA
I was born into a christian home on a YWAM base and lived in a YWAM setting until I was twelve. I am coming from Chandler AZ USA where I completed high school. As of now I am not in college and only plan on attending one if I feel God leading me there. I have the most incredible family with four siblings all in different parts of the world serving the lord. My family and friends are always in mind and I am constantly on there hearts. the Mission field is where i have been called and it is where I am gonna be serving till further notice. My faith is strong and has been built upon several times when it was needed, so I am confident that the Lord will provide and direct my steps.
I love the Lord and serving with YWAM for around 12 years now has been awesome i look forward to every opportunity that God has for me and I am stoked to get to do life with the Father.

Hey, I was born in the Yukon Territory, Canada in the dark month of march. Growing up in the north I’ve always been surrounded by snow and snow culture. I love the mountains and go a little crazy when i go for long periods with out them. Theres something about being in the mountains that speaks deeply to me about God and how much He loves me. I’ve been living in Whistler for the past 3 years and have fallen in love with the ski & snowboard culture. During the summer I work as a carpenter and during the winter I am sponsored by the government to run Skiers & Snowboards For Christ and snowboard everyday (but dont tell my Prime minister).
I decided to go to Oxford to staff the SDTS for a change of pace and scenery and its been incredible. I hope that if your reading this you’ll find yourself calling your travel agent to book a ticket and meet face to face.
