King’s Kids

Building Strong Kids & Families

Ministry Overview

King’s Kids and Families of Faith is alive and well in New Zealand. Our home base is at YWAM in Oxford, but operate throughout New Zealand (mainly the South Island).

This website is split into two areas: King’s Kids and Families of Faith – just click on the different tabs to follow what we are all about and up to.

What is Kings Kids all about?

Well its all about having fun, learning drama’s and dancing, getting to know Jesus, developing a personal relationship with God, learning the word, team building, making new friends, growing in their own faith. At the end of the boot camp phase the children/youth will then go onto Outreach phase where they show the public the dance and drama’s they have learnt and also have the opportunity to share why this music importaqnt to them, how God has answered prayer or other personal stories. These opportunities take place in parks, malls, children’s programmes, rest homes – a really cool time to see everything they have learnt come together growing as individuals and as a team.

See the Blog tab above for a running commentary on our current Auckland Outreach and watch our promotional video to get a feel for what it is all about.

King’s Kids Outreaches

We are running an outreach this coming July holidays, based at Oxford. We will be doing both Performing Arts and HANDS(Pratical) outreach so something for everyone.

This is going to be an amazing time, not just for the young but the young at heart as well. Learn more about God’s character and the bible and have a blast with people from all over the place. See our Blog tab at top of the page for an idea of a previous outreach etc.

This is for all ages but we do have some guidelines for age groups.

6-10 years old – must be accompanied by parent/primary caregiver

10-12 years old – must have a parent OR nominated gaurdian on camp

13 years+ – You can attend on your own

King’s Kids Camps

Our Pioneering camp was with our International Leader – Guy Zeller in 2013 at the YWAM Base in Matamata. Our first Families of Faith camp in the South Island was at Glentui Meadows over the New Years break 2014. We had a total of 67 people attend including staff from all over the world. We have also run a camp at the Waipara Adventure Centre in September 2014 and now heading back to Matamata. We have had an awesome time learning, laughing and growing together.

It is a real privilege to see families grow through the different activities, games and teaching over the 6 days. The camp is a great mix of intentional teaching, challenging games, relaxing family time and down times. Everyone takes away some gold nuggets to encourage spiritual and relational growth within their families.
