The Heart of the School

The Fathers Love DTS is a Crossroads school for people of all ages to come into a revelation of Father’s Love and grow in their identity as sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. This enables people to walk out their destiny in the freedom of true sonship rather than through a sense of obligation, duty or servitude.

The students will get the opportunity to experience what sonship looks like in the context of YWAM’s mandate and mission.

Who is it for?

The School is for people of all ages and there are possible options for families.  We are a family friendly base and try and accomodate children where we can.

EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: We offer a $250.00 NZD discount for students who pay their deposit at least 3 months before the school start date. Apply early and save!

What can people expect in the Lecture Phase?

Lecture Phase is a time of transformation, healing and seeing God’s redemption play out for many as we focus in on the first half of YWAM’s motto of “Know God and make Him known”.

During lecture phase the day begins by meeting together for worship, intercession, devotions etc  and this creates a  chance to be family.  Lectures then last until lunch time, with a short break for a deeply important Kiwi cultural tradition- morning tea!  Afternoons vary from small groups, to outreach preparation or free time.  There are occasional evening lectures but this is mostly free time.  We always try to strike the balance of providing an engaging, quality program while at the same time giving different personalities the space and time they need to process all the new things they’re experiencing.

Lecture Phase dates: 11 March – 25 May 2018

School Leaders & Staff

Rex & Annie •

Hello! we are Rex and Annie Lynch and we have been the leaders of the Fathers Love Crossroads DTS for four years now. Prior to joining YWAM we pastored and church planted in Colorado and California. After over 20 years of pastoral ministry, God called us to come to YWAM and we have served for 7 years in Hawaii and New Zealand. Our passion is to see precious believers come into the revelation of how much their heavenly Father loves them and calls them to enjoy His loving embrace as sons and daughters. Currently we are the only Crossroads DTS in YWAM with the theme of Fathers Love.
We will celebrate 28 years of marriage this next year and have 3 amazing grown children and [so far] five precious grandchildren. We invite you to join us on this amazing journey of experiencing true 'sonship'.

Deborah Booth •

Hi, my name is Deborah, (Deb for short). I’m a local kiwi gal. I’m originally from the U.K. and I’ve been here 42 years. I’m a 5th generation Kiwi. I have three adult children and three grandchildren and my mom. I love being near my family, who all live in Oxford area minus one son, who is in London. I found out about YWAM through my missionary sister and I did my FMS in Matamata in 2006. I staffed a school in YWAM Oxford for the first time in 2011. My role here is the base butterfly. I love this base because it’s so cool here. I love being base momma, I love everyone, coming to the base keeps my heart and passion alive. I can be myself here. It encourages me so much seeing the lives of people changing and growing. My heart is for the body of Christ and connecting to the community as well.

Rick & Linda Holman •

Kia Ora! We are Rick and Linda from Boise, Idaho. We grew up in California (Rick in the north, Linda in the south) but now call Idaho home. We’ve been married almost 12 years and have six sons, three daughters-in-law and five grandchildren.

While in pastoral ministry we pioneered a homeless ministry in our local community and in so doing, God was expanding our hearts for the least, the lost and broken. This process took five years and during that time after several short-term mission trips, we felt God was calling us to full-time missions.

In obedience to His promptings, we sold all our belongings, except photos and some keepsakes, and flew to New Zealand to attend the Father’s Love Crossroads DTS in March 2017. Through the lecture and outreach phases, we came into a greater revelation of Father’s love for us and received spiritual, emotional and physical healing. We knew we had to come back to help others grow in the Father’s love and then go to the nations.

Leslie Atkins •

Kia Ora! I’m Leslie and I’m a born and bred Kiwi (New Zealander). I have 3 adult children and 8 grandchildren who all live in NZ.
I spent 3 years in cross cultural mission in Thailand serving in an orphanage where the children are HIV+. Loving them into the arms of our Father taught me so much about our eternal destiny and His uncompromising love for us. My passion is for the least – the littlest ones – and to be His loving arms in bringing life, light and hope to them.
I attended the Father’s Love Crossroads DTS in 2015 and it impacted my life dramatically. Learning, living and breathing the love of my Father and making lifelong friends in the School has been one of the highlights of my life. It’s a journey into healing and wholeness that doesn’t end with the School but is a lifelong process and I long to encourage others and walk alongside them in their journey.

Karen Ede •

Hello my name is Karen Ede. I will be returning to help staff the 2018 Fathers Love School. I have staffed previously for five years but after two years at home with family I'm back to support the amazing Rex and Annie lynch. This School and coming into the revelation of the Fathers Love changed my life. I found much healing for past wounds and found that I had a Heavenly Father that loves me dearly! I also fulfilled a childhood dream. I was blessed to travel three times with a team to Uganda and share The Fathers love with orphans and needy children. We helped start a preschool where these children could receive free education. They would not only be educated, they would be safe from harm where they were taken care of and fed one meal a day! Father blessed me but now He's sending me to bless others. Please come and join us on this years adventure! May our Heavenly Father heal, bless you and bring you into all He has for you too! Amen!
