Discipleship Training School (DTS)

It all begins with a DTS!

This could be your first step into missions! Our intensive missions training school is three months of lecture-styled learning mixed with practical hands-on tools. This is followed by two or three months of going out onto the mission field, traveling, serving, and being the hands and feet of Jesus. This school is a perfect opportunity if you are wanting to focus on God, develop your faith further, discover more about your identity and purpose, and become equipped for the future.

Our schools are all about ‘knowing God’ and ‘then going and making him known’ in New Zealand and the nations of the world! If you are looking to fill your gap year and/or you want a greater understanding of God in your day-to-day life, then this school is perfect for you.

After DTS - Second Level Schools

Doing a DTS is just the beginning! Completing a DTS opens the door into all the missions training available within Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Each of our courses is accredited through The University of the Nations (UofN), YWAM’s global university. The UofN offers training through courses in the seven spheres of society: Arts & Sports, Christian ministries, Communication, Counseling & Healthcare, Education, Humanities & International Studies, Science & Technology. 

After a DTS, the options are diverse, amazing and numerous – in YWAM and beyond!  No matter what you choose, we are excited to see where God will lead you! Take a look at the Second Level schools we run here at YWAM Oxford.
